Phoned me tonight at 8:00 pm and said they were from orange. Said they wanted to offer me new deals etc. The caller was female and Scottish sounding. Didn't sound like a call centre, more like a pub. Told them I wasn't interested and said goodbye. Checking to see if it was Orange.

Confirmed it was not Orange and someone is using the brand name to try gather details

this number called my mobile wanting to find out about the accident i had. i am so sick off these calls which i passed onto the lady that called. it also did not sound like a call centre there was no background noise.

Called me at 6.00pm today

Claimed to be from Orange offering freebies for being a valued customer. They wanted my address and date of birth. Dodgy.

Got a call from them just now.  As above, Scottish accent claiming to be Orange. I refused to confirm my address and the suy said I would be wasting time if I called them back, he didn't understand why I'd want to.  I said peace of mind.  He responded they only had a couple of callers like me a day so it probably wasn't worth his while if I called them back. I said OK and he put the phone day.  He was bordering on aggressive, but kept his cool, trying his best to get me to confirm details. In future I might just give them a central London address to see if he flags up that isn't my address - would be a nice way to waste his time in the way they are wasting others'!

This number called both my landline and my mobile, I didn't answer either

They rang me yesterday but I didn't answer and they just called again so I answered it. Very strong Scottish accent, spoke quite common, noisy background. Didn't sound that professional but they must be desperate if they keep calling. They claimed to be Orange.

They called my mobile (orange) and I answered it said Hello and they hung up. I  did hear caller talking to someone else about this "campaign" before he hung up.  I rang back and with-held my number, as soon as they answered they said nothing but does sound like very busy call centre - they hung up again.  0141 is a Glasgow number which explains all the Scottish accents.

just had a call from this number on my mobile and landline i did not answer neither as did not recognise the number guess its a bogus call from orange after reading the other comments on here ty for the warnings

missed a call from this number on my mobile today, this number is on the orange website and orange describe it as one of their partners although as I didnt answer the call I'm not sure what they wanted

They call me at various times and didnt answer, found these comments and they called again claiming to be Orange rewards. Asked me to confirm my address so i asked him to confirm it as he called me.. said for security reasons he couldnt do that..asked him.how much i paid on last bill couldnt confirm that either.. said i cant help him and hung up  Phoned Orange on 150 and she wasnt aware of scottish people calling for Orange but said that if in doubt DO NOT GIVE ANY OF YOUR DETAILS!

Im with Orange and had a call from the above number.. Scottish sounding lady claiming to be from Orange.. Line cut off and the number has continued to ring me for the last 3 days....

Rang me and hung up as soon as I answered. Really annoying plus my number is private. I had to change my last one due to unsolicited junk calls! Can't someone stop these people?

Got a call on my landline, but rarely answer it due to the number of nuisance and 'sales' calls I get. My mobile rang immediately afterwards showing this number; didn't answer it. Found the number listed on the orange website, saying they are an 'authorised partner' of orange who may call about additional products and services.
I am (a) sick of the number of nuisance calls I get (especially on my mobile - I've never had PPI, haven't had an accident etc. etc...) and (b) more and more fed up with orange/EE lately - if they want to offer 'additional products and services' they should do it themselves instead of handing over OUR landline and mobile numbers to aggressive 'partners' who call asking for personal information. I NEVER give that kind of information to someone who calls out of the blue. As soon as my contract with orange is over I'm moving to another provider.

It is one of their official partners. They are given permission by Orange to call who presumably have passed on your number. I told them I wasn't interested and they wished me a pleasant day, seemed fine to me.

RANG MY MOBILE 6/2/13 @ 15:22 "about your Orange account" - offering upgrades etc, I said I've never been with Orange or had Orange account, she rung off..

got called on my landline then my orange mobile, after reading lots of pages all reporting to be orange customers. i called orange and told them about the number (now waiting for a response).

I have had lots of missed calls from this number. Say they are calling from Orange, it sounds like they are walking around outside, have a Scottish accent and asked for my address details. Once I would like them to go on hold while I check the number they hung up so I would say it is definitely dodgy.

They just called my home and mobile at 8.05pm, didnt answer but didnt recognise it so just looked it up and found this page. I hate those callers!

It is a genuine call from Orange. Number is on the website. For data protection they have to ID you, I worked at a bank and had to do the same.

They called on Friday after trying for about 4 weeks. I answered it, they said they were from Orange with a thick Scottish accent. They offered a good deal so I agreed. Having read these comments I was worried. Rang Orange (150) who confirmed they are a partner of Orange. On the call I didn't give them any bank details or further personal information. They asked my age at that was it. They could easily find my address from my phone number that they got from Orange anyway.
Orange confirmed the order (including the deal and phone model without me saying anything) was on their system and the contract is with Orange and everything was absolutely fine and not to worry. The phone is due on Thursday. You have 14 days to return the handset and cancel the contract anyway so nothing to lose. Is it a scam....I personally don't think so.
